Dr Frances le Roux retired after 31 yrs from her private physiotherapy practice in Fish Hoek.She currently do part-time research on Music and Medicine.She is a honorary member of the International Music Medicine Association.
Her interest field is music,exercises and the aging brain.As well as aging and brain plasticity and music.The brain has the ability to change structure or function in response to external stimulation.

Why would a patient respond better when listening to baroque music? “Well,” said Dr Le Roux, “that was my entry point into this field, and what I went to the University of the Western Cape to study.”
